The DP World Tour makes its way to a brand-new, first-time venue this week for the Italian Open presented by Regione Emilia-Romagna. This event marks the penultimate event on the European Tour.
Details of the Italian Open
The Italian Open will be held at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club for the first time. The club is located just outside of Rome, Italy.
The tournament will be played over four rounds, from October 6-9, 2022. The prize fund for the event is €2 million.
A strong field of players is expected to compete in the Italian Open, including defending champion Francesco Molinari, Rory McIlroy, and Jon Rahm.
