Three-Phased Flight to Demonstrate New Capabilities
The highly anticipated first flight of Ariane 6, Europe's newest heavy-lift launcher, is scheduled for July 9th, 2024, with a launch window from 15:00-19:00 local time at Europe's Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana.
The inaugural flight will consist of three phases, each showcasing different capabilities of the new rocket. The first phase will demonstrate the rocket's ascent and separation capabilities, followed by a second phase that will test the payload deployment process. The third and final phase will include the re-entry and recovery of the rocket's reusable booster stage.
