The Dallas Mavericks defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 111-103 in a hard-fought battle on October 25, 2022. Luka Dončić led the way for the Mavericks with a triple-double, while Zion Williamson paced the Pelicans with 25 points. The Mavericks controlled the game from the start, building a double-digit lead in the first half. The Pelicans fought back in the third quarter, but the Mavericks held on for the win. Dončić was outstanding all night, filling the stat sheet with points, rebounds, and assists. He was also efficient from the field, shooting 50% from the floor. Williamson was impressive for the Pelicans, but he did not get enough help from his teammates. Ingram and McCollum combined for just 35 points on 13-of-36 shooting. The Mavericks' victory was their third in a row, while the Pelicans dropped to 2-3 on the season.
