College and Cinema Without Borders Plan French Animation Celebration Day

College and Cinema Without Borders (CCWB) announced French Animation Celebration Day, a free public event celebrating the rich history and diversity of French animation, to be held on October 22, 2023 from 11 am to 5 pm at the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in New York City. The event will feature a screening of animation classics, workshops with renowned French animators, exhibits, and special presentations.
The celebration coincides with the publication of the latest print edition of Animation Magazine, which features a special report on French animation. The event is organized in collaboration with UniFrance, the French organization responsible for promoting French cinema and animation around the world.
